Alone Again
Alone am l sitting in my room.

Not the first time, surely not
Oh there are others here
Daughter, S-I-L, grandkids
Going about their life rhythmP
As I remain alone
Can’t enter into their rhythm
Out of step, growing old
Aloneness begets loneliness.
Days pass slowly, deliberate.
Thru tears finding things to do
Sadness overwhelms me still.
Maybe inclusion commences
with the blessed morrow.
Loneliness, sadness spent.
Slumber settles, fitful rest.
I await my fate on the morrow.
Peer alone out the window.
My sadness tells me to
find something to do!
