A Walk in the Garden
You and I in the garden together
A while since we met this way.
You full of light and hope.
The last time Spring’s new growth
Autumn season of year, now
Beautiful color painting
l love red; of course, you know.
I see the mums and berries ahead.
Your smiling eyes look into mine.
We sit on an old fallen tree trunk.
You ask me where I’ve been.
I hide with shame from those eyes.
You reach out to me, draw me close.
“Remember to slow your busyness.”
“Allow time for Me. Seek Me first.”
A few tears; He wipes them away.
“My child,” You sigh, “I love you so.”
We turn to leave Your Garden.
I instantly know He forgives me.
